We unite schools, science and people from all over the world to expand what it means to see.
All over the planet there are schools, labs and people exploring perception beyond sight — through hearing, touch, the whole body, intuition. Beyond Sight exists to gather that scattered force and turn it into science, programs and gatherings in service of blind people and the development of consciousness.
It doesn't fully exist yet. It's a huge possibility — and it depends on who joins.
We're not selling you something finished. We're showing you what it can become: a foundation that brings together associations, projects, entities, labs and — above all — people from all over the world, in service of blind people and the development of perception, consciousness and intuition. There's a lot of knowledge scattered out there. Let's gather it. Let's spark it together.
— The first circle of people sparking Beyond Sight
Extraordinary schools are working on perception all over the world, each in its own corner. Beyond Sight exists to unite them: a bridge foundation that pools knowledge, research and purpose.
We don't replace anyone or impose a method. We build the infrastructure so science, programs and people can flow between schools — and so any blind person, in any country, can benefit.
Four pillars, one purpose
Science
Gathering and sharing the evidence redefining human perception.
Programs
In-person and online training, offered by the entities in the network.
In-person gatherings
From regional to international, with blind people at the center.
Synergies
What matters most: weaving collaborations between schools that once worked alone.
A common home, without borders
Beyond Sight is woven by many hands. Each keeps its name, method and autonomy — and adds its strength to the rest.
Blind and low-vision people
The protagonists. They co-lead, take part in the programs and guide where we grow.
Anyone wanting to awaken their perception
Any person who wishes to develop their intuition, attention and senses.
Associations and projects
Solidarity initiatives already working on perception that want a common roof.
Labs and universities
Rigorous science to measure which perceptual capacities can be trained, and how.
Schools and methods
Echolocation, intuitive vision, attention, sensory substitution… the whole archipelago.
Philanthropists and patrons
Those who choose to spark the launch and make all of this possible.
The scattered, together for the first time
The science redefining how we perceive
Each entry summarizes a real finding or project and links to the lab or school behind it. Outreach with sources, not promises.

Echolocation: the brain "sees" with sound
Expert blind individuals navigate with tongue clicks. Neuroimaging shows they activate the visual cortex processing echoes. Not a gift: trainable, measurable perception.

Blindsight: seeing without knowing you see
People without a visual cortex correctly locate an object they say they can't see. The brain perceives through alternative routes.

Seeing with the ear and the tongue
Devices that translate images into sound or touch. The brain learns to read them as a new kind of sight.

The heart's intelligence
The heart sends the brain more signals than it receives. Science links this to intuition.
Three ways to get to know us
Programs
Workshops, one-to-one sessions, audiobooks and audio courses from the network's entities.
